Diverge E5
Whether you want to escape everyday life on paths away from cars and crowds or want to compete in a gravel race for the first time, no bike can do it better than the new Diverge. It's simply the most versatile gravel bike Specialized have ever built - and the most fun. It's fast and agile when you want to be, and stable and confident on beaten trails. From the all-new gravel geometry to the largest tire clearance in its category, the new Diverge incorporates everything Specialized have learned in nearly 50 years of on-road, off-road and gravel biking. With the Diverge they open a completely new chapter in gravel and you can dream of completely new rides. It's the ultimate bike for leaving your everyday life behind.
Thanks to Specialized 's E5 premium aluminum frame with FACT full carbon fork, the Diverge E5 impresses with a fast, safe and comfortable ride on the road, off-road and over coarse gravel. The Claris group from Shimano, designed for gravel riding, shifts smoothly over any terrain and the 2 × 8 gears. Axis Elite aluminum rims with Pathfinder Sport 38mm tires provide efficient riding on asphalt and versatility with the ability to operate on rough terrain.
Highlights
- Specialized 's E5 premium aluminum frame is a strong, lightweight and durable platform. Together with its FACT full carbon fork, the Diverge E5 is a light, dynamic and versatile gravel bike that can master many surfaces
- Specialized have reinvented gravel geometry. The new Diverge has the most advanced geometry they have ever developed for this type of gravel bike with drop bars. It offers riders a potent and stable bike off-road that also responds quickly and feels agile on the road. Specialized have extended the reach of the frame, flattened the head tube angle and equipped the fork with a longer offset. This means that the bike conveys enormous confidence and maximum riding stability on off-road terrain. Together with shorter stems, the overall length of the cockpit remains the same and the steering behavior remains dynamic. The bottom bracket is low for smooth running, but high enough that 650B wheels can also be mounted
- Specialized have given the Diverge a variety of mounting points, which can also be found on the fork and top tube - so that you can take your equipment with you, no matter how long you'll be on the road
- Nothing expands a bike's capabilities like tire clearance. That's why they gave the new Diverge a whopping 47 mm or 1.8 inches of tire clearance for 700C and 53 mm or 2.1 inches for 650B wheels. Specialized have reinforced the drive-side chainstay behind the chainrings. This allowed us to create space and avoid a vulnerable, lowered chainstay design or longer chainstays
