With Continental's unique tread compound, only made in Germany, they have revolutionized the cycling scene. With the legendary BlackChili Compound, Continental was able to answer the eternal question of grip or rolling resistance in the long term.
Regular test victories prove the measurable and noticeable advantages for drivers in the laboratory and on the road. The latest polymers and specially developed carbon black particles and fillers guarantee unique performance.
ProTection - The hard way
The ProTection technology gives tires the perfect mix of smooth running, grip and puncture protection. This is made possible by an additional, all-round puncture protection layer, which makes the entire tire particularly resistant and insensitive to injuries. Despite the additional layer, the tire has very good damping properties and irons cleanly over the toughest trails. BlackChili provides the necessary smooth running and grip. Another feature of the ProTection technology from Germany is tubeless ready suitability. The revolutionary Tubeless Ready foot allows easy and uncomplicated mounting of the tire. For optimal results when sealing and in use, we recommend using the new Continental RevoSealant sealant.
