Modern and lightweight hardtail from Wilier Triestina
The Usma SLR is the new competition mountain bike that, together with the Urta SLR, complements Wilier Triestina's high-end off-road offering.
Light, modern, sober, easy to handle, both in terms of mechanical functions and suspension adjustment: the USMA SLR was designed to meet the specific needs of riders who have always wanted an off-road racing bike.

Extreme lightness
Lightness is one of the two main characteristics around which the development of the project revolved. Willier knows all too well the effort required uphill and how very super light materials can help in competitions and reduce fatigue in general. The frame of the Usma SLR weighs only 850 grams, a very interesting basic weight that allows them to mount superbikes.
Short rear end
To make the bike agile and responsive they have kept the rear triangle very short, with a spacing of just 425mm but with wheel clearance to accommodate tires up to 2.40" (60mm).
The Usma SLR features modern and sophisticated geometries matched to a 100mm travel fork.
Fluidity is speed
There's a motto that goes: “Flow is fast”, fluidity is speed. That's exactly what the rider feels in the saddle of the Usma SLR - and if you want to define Usma SLR with a single adjective, you could say: balanced - light and reactive in the saddle, easy and fast downhill.
HUS MOD Carbon
The carbon technology used for the Uma SLR is the same that is used in the high-end road bike series: HUS-MOD carbon, a combination of high-quality fibers and highly resistant, multi-directional fiber braids. To keep under control the stresses generated by off-road use, the Usma SLR frame has been designed with particular attention to the tube crossing points, which have been reinforced.
Integrated monocoque handlebar
Like its double-sprung sister Urta SLR, the Usma can also be equipped with an integrated handlebar made of monocoque carbon. This results in a frame-matched assembly using special spacers, increasing comfort and enhancing the aesthetic clarity of the cockpit.
Speaking of cable routing, Wilier has 2 simple openings on the head tube through which the shift and brake cables as well as the dropper post run and are integrated into the frame.
The angles
In terms of angles, the 75° seat tube allows the rider to find the ideal position for constant propulsion. At the front, the handlebar is inclined at 67.75°. By combining this value with the 430 mm long reach (for size M) and the increased bottom bracket drop, the Usma SLR rider is positioned in the middle of the bike and has a low center of gravity. This configuration improves stability on the descents and provides more security - both are necessary to take on the speed when descending hills.
highlights
- Frame made of light and very stiff HUS-MOD carbon - copied from Wilier's performance road bikes
- Modern Geometry
- Enormous propulsion on the uphill - manoeuvrable and agile on the downhill
- Tire clearance up to 60mm
