Kona 6061 aluminum
Kona 7005 and 6061 aluminum alloys are very popular in our mountain bikes and asphalt bikes. Kona 7005 and 6061 is a strong, stable, and inexpensive light alloy that delivers fantastic yet reliable performance over thousands of trips. A large part of their 7005/6061 tubes are butted and / or molded, which means that the wall thickness of the tubes can be increased as well as decreased and shaped so that to fine-tune a particular frame we can customize the strength and driving characteristics depending on the application can.
Semi-integrated headset
The big advantage of an internal headset, whereby the bearing cups are actually pressed into the frame and are easily removable, is the additional protective layer that protects the bearings from the elements. An internal headset also reduces the body height, making the height of the stem and handlebars easier to adjust so that the best adjustment is possible for the rider.
650b wheels
650b wheels and tires have a similar overall diameter to the traditional 700c gravel or commuter tires, but the rim diameter is smaller and the tire is wider and larger. The extra volume of air in this new generation of urban tires means they'll ride comfortably at lower pressures while rolling quickly over a variety of surfaces. The best of two worlds combined!
