The new DEORE XT two-piston brake for cross-country use. The new design of the brake lever, which is mounted at an angle so that it is supported at two points on the handlebars and thus significantly increases rigidity, ensures more direct feedback and more braking power, which is further supported by the SERVO WAVE technology. Servo Wave
The Shimano Servo Wave technology optimizes the lever travel of the brake lever. During the braking process, the brake pads are quickly guided to the brake disc with a very short path of the lever. The greater part of the lever travel is reserved for the actual braking force. This enables a more targeted dosing of the braking force.

I-Spec EV
I-SPEC EV creates a clean, action-optimized cockpit layout that helps more drivers focus and be more flexible. Thanks to the increased adjustment range, the I-SPEC EV levers can be placed in the optimal position for different riding styles (ENDURO, XC, etc.), rider preferences and rider anatomy (hand and arm positions).

With I-SPEC EV, the brake clamps are moved further inwards. This creates an additional contact point between the handlebars and the brake lever, which increases the stiffness of the lever. This extra support greatly improves bike control and braking. There is space between the clamp and the support point for additional accessories mounted on the handlebar.

One-way venting
ONE WAY BLEEDING was developed to quickly and easily prevent air from being trapped in the hydraulic system. Shimano has optimized the way the brake fluid is routed throughout the system to prevent air bubbles from getting stuck in the system.
The one-way mineral oil path, together with the funnel for filling, allows for clean, hassle-free bleeding.

J kit
J-Kit makes it easy to connect the brake line to hydraulic brakes from Shimano and thus to install the brake. The brake does not come pre-assembled (brake line not yet assembled) to make it easier to lay the lines in the frame. The brake line of the Shimano J-Kit brakes is already filled with mineral oil and sealed with a thin membrane. There is a small pin in the J-Kit brake lever that pierces this membrane during assembly, allowing the oil to flow.
