Officially, Castelli is only allowed to label these accessories with UPF 50+. In fact, in laboratory tests, they even blocked 99.8% of harmful UV radiation. When it comes to the material, they use a polyester base, which not only offers better UV protection than nylon, but also keeps you dry much better.
