In order to ensure the use of the Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 in the majority of all bicycles, various hub types with different model names are available. The first letter combination (CC / TS) designates the axle type of the hub.
Two different axle types are available:
| CC: | Cross country Hollow axle for use with quick release (quick release axle) |
| TS: | Touring screw axle Screw axle with axle nuts M10x1 |
The following additions indicate additional hub specifications:
| EX: | External switching control With external switching control. |
| DB: | Disc brake version (Disc Brake) With disc brake cover and external switching control EX |
| OEM: | OEM assembly (original equipment manufacturer = original equipment manufacturer) |
| OEM2: | OEM2 assembly (original equipment manufacturer = original equipment manufacturer) With CC OEM2 or TS OEM2 axle plate according to axle type only for frame with IS200 disc brake mount. The support is made on the brake mount by means of a counterhold, the Speedbone, attached there. |
All Rohloff Speedhub hubs, regardless of year of manufacture, can be retrofitted to any type of hub at Rohloff. For example, from a standard disc brake hub can be built.
