Deep in the hills of Santa Cruz, cyclists encounter a nasty four-mile, 1,800-foot climb called Alba Road, the inspiration and namesake for the Alba racing bike crank. With the shapely arms made of forged aluminum alloy, the axle made of M30 alloy, the new LevaTime II X-Spider and chain rings, the Alba is ready for anything. LevaTime II is the new generation of switching technologies. By updating to a new, stiffer 5mm ring, the engineers at Praxis Works were able to increase the number of switching functions and the type of switching functions that were forged into the ring. In addition, the new, quick-locking, forged switch pins could be used to improve switching speed. The conclusion: Together with the light and optimized Spider and the likewise new LT2 X chainrings in a simple design, this results in an excellent crank at an attractive price, which also looks great. The Alba X also scores with a variety of chainring sizes and crank arm lengths.

LevaTime
The Praxis Works LevaTime ™ chainrings were the result of years of tireless testing and optimization. The end result is a set of the best and fastest shifting chainrings on the market. To date, the Praxis Works Buzz chainring family is considered by many to be one of the best chainrings available.

But the engineers at Praxis Works weren't happy with it. Behind the scenes, they kept pushing, testing, and fine-tuning for faster shifts and gentler shifts. When developing the new LevaTime II ™ X-Rings, they went further than ever.

Now updated to a new stiffer 5mm ring, engineers have been able to increase the number of switching functions and the type of switching functions built into the X-Rings. This new foundation also made it possible to implement the new quick-locking forged switch pins to improve switching speed. With even better support, the optimized forged LT2 X-Spider holds everything together.

After riding these new chainrings you will find that these are not your average chainrings.

X-Spider & X-Rings
This brand new LT2 X-Spider is even stiffer than our original generation X-Spider. The new forged design of the new, large 5 mm LT2 blades and the 3-hole direct mount connection ensure sufficient rigidity when hard gear changes are required even under load. Full modularity was also the goal of the X-Spider & Rings. With this X-Spider you can easily replace the X-Rings without having to remove the crank. The LT2-X-Rings are also forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and hard anodized to withstand impacts in rough terrain.
