Reduced to the essentials, the Ergon GXR does exactly what cross-country riders and lightweight racers want: it absorbs all shocks, has a good grip, weighs little, lies ergonomically in the hand and provides security. The GXR is the first truly ergonomic lightweight grip made from AirCell rubber, manufactured using a unique process. Super light, without clamping, without an inner core, 100% made in Germany - with the GXR, Ergon is defining a new chapter in MTB grips.
Completely new manufacturing process
The Ergon GXR comes entirely from Germany. From development to material to production - the entire manufacturing process is 100% made in Germany. They have created a unique manufacturing process in Germany with expanded, TÜV-certified Ergon rubber granules especially for the new cross-country grip.
Micro air bubbles make the difference
For the first time, the GXR combines lightweight construction and genuine ergonomics into one MTB grip. In a completely new production process, Ergon AirCell-Rubber is formed into a grip that is ergonomically adapted to the hand and specifically to mountain bike use. Thanks to countless micro-air bubbles, the high-quality and unique AirCell rubber has very high cushioning directly over the material, is super light, soft and TÜV-tested for harmful substances. In contrast to the GXR, conventional foamed lightweight grips are extruded. This process significantly limits the design. An ergonomic shape is just as impossible in this way as coordinated surface zones for the functional areas of the hand. This shortcoming leads to earlier fatigue and poorer bike handling. With the ergonomic GXR, on the other hand, you have your lightweight bike under control at all times.
No clamping, no inner core
Without an inner core and clamp, Ergon has managed to reduce the weight to 90 grams (size small, including end plugs). If you want to trim your cross-country bike into a lightweight rocket and still don't want to do without grip, control and ergonomics, you can't do without the Ergon grip.
