Z series
KMC was the first chain manufacturer to develop special chains for mid-engine e-bikes. Their analysis of the power transmission in e-bikes with a mid-engine showed that the frequent gear changes under load require significantly higher safety reserves that cannot be achieved with classic chains. The critical part is the connector pin, which is subjected to the most extreme forces during shifting.
