Although the Ekar rear derailleur has shared the heritage and research of Campagnolo's groupsets since the Super Record, this completely new design was specially developed for gravel use. The unique 1x13 system makes the system so effective, the use of a 9-pin sprocket enables a perfect range of gear ratios from short and precise gear changes and a balanced cadence level. Technology, design and materials have been chosen to meet the specific performance requirements of all-road and gravel fans. The combination of fast, precise and reliable gear changes in connection with a reliable chain guide, low weight, durability and robustness, rightly give EKAR access to the all-road arena.

The construction of the rear derailleur with a medium-length derailleur is compatible with the different sprocket sizes, with all three rear derailleur options of the cassette from 9-36 to 10-44 and perfectly matched to every gravel requirement. The 2D movement of the rear derailleur - parallelogram was specially designed for the Ekar 1x system, so that the rear derailleur precisely implements the mechanical shifting process in order to optimally use the 13 gears. The pulleys with different numbers of teeth guarantee optimal operation and a stable chain guide to ensure safety and smoothness, no matter what terrain you are on. The damping (clutch) on the rear derailleur ensures safe and reliable chain guidance and minimal operating noise, the clutch system can also be locked to the rear for easy removal of the wheel. The Ekar rear derailleur alone contains more than 70 carefully designed and constructed individual parts. Carbon fiber reinforced polyamide and anodized alloys 7075 and 6082 are combined in the rear derailleur body and the derailleur cage of the Ekar rear derailleur to achieve the best combination of strength, durability and lightness, for reliable operation and to ensure excellent resistance to bumps, sand and dirt of the gravel terrain, while the screws are made of stainless steel to ensure long-term strength and resistance in the most difficult conditions.
