Flattop ™
To enable the X-Range ™ drive technology, SRAM has developed a narrower chain. The unique link shape of the Flattop ™ technology not only enabled a larger transmission range, but also led to quieter running and increased robustness and durability.

The chain engineers at SRAM have developed PowerLock as a tool-free, safe and constant way of connecting your chains. Although the PowerLock does not require any special tools for assembly, each PowerLock can only be used once in view of the narrow tolerance range.
