The ROTOR UNO Upgrade Kit with the Rotor Uno shift and brake group combines the best features of electronic and mechanical systems for racing bikes and represents a completely new category of shift group technology. Using high-precision and low-maintenance hydraulics, not only can braking be reliable under the most adverse conditions, but also turn. Thanks to their small diameter, the hydraulic switching cables are also suitable for internal installation.
Hydraulic braking has been established on mountain bikes for many years - now it is conquering racing bikes. The RT8 hydraulic brakes developed by Magura with postmount and flat mount options form the absolute spearhead of the technology and offer high braking power, fine dosing and low weight. Compared to mechanical rim brakes, the friction loss of the Magura RT8 is significantly lower and the hydraulic lines can be laid much closer than traditional cable pulls. The resulting fine controllability of the hand force and the high braking force allow the driver to gain valuable seconds in corners and on descents and leave the good feeling of being in control of the situation at all times - even in extreme situations. As an alternative to the rim brake, the UNO is also available in a disc version.
Direct and precise switching with soft activation with the lowest possible system weight were the requirements for the hydraulic switching system of the UN. The rear derailleur and derailleur implement the driver's shift command precisely and quickly. In this unique new development, ROTOR combined the advantages of mechanics and hydraulics into a new generation of switching groups. The adjustable index system integrated in the gearshift body allows gearshifts between one and four gears. In the event of accidental damage, the rear derailleur can be fixed in one gear, thus allowing the vehicle to continue driving. The front derailleur is easy to trim and of course also allows the use of the increasingly popular oval chainrings - ROTOR Q-Rings. Incidentally, this also happens when the chain is skewed without grinding on the guide plate
No crank is included in the scope of delivery. We recommend using any ROTOR crank with round or oval chainrings. The operation of the UN is also ensured with other sprocket sets.
