Specialized award winning Roubaix
With seven victories at Paris-Roubaix, Specialized 's Roubaix has proven that the smooth bike is more than just fast. Admittedly, up until this point, that smoothness came with some compromises. But that is now a thing of the past.
The Roubaix offers uncompromising compliance through the introduction of a Future Shock 2.0 that gives you more control, a Pavé seatpost that creates the most balanced Roubaix yet, aerodynamics that match the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered™ frame that one is the lightest in its class. Is the bike still comfortable? Sure, but don't call it a comfort bike, because performance was behind every engineering decision Specialized made. This is the Roubaix.
The Roubaix Sport comes with the Shimano 105 group, powerful hydraulic disc brakes, reliable DT R470 wheels, the new S-Works Pavé seat post, 28 mm Turbo Pro tires and our Power Sport saddle.
highlights
- The new frame offers uncompromising compliance through the perfect balance of aerodynamics, low overall weight, compliance and Rider-First Engineering™ technology. With tube shapes born in Specialized FreeFoil Shape Library and validated in the wind tunnel, the new Roubaix is just as aerodynamic as the Tarmac SL6. To optimize weight and ride quality, they've borrowed from the Rider-First Engineered™ design, which offers optimal stiffness and compliance in all sizes. Of course, the new frame remains one of the lightest in its class. And so that you are prepared for all purposes, space has been created for tires up to 33mm wide
- Specialized has developed an S-Works Pavé seat post to match the frame. This is not only comfortable, but also aerodynamic, without any additional weight or any new frills. Based on the D-shaped design found on the Tarmac, they've taken compliance to a whole new level by adding flex to the top half of the post and developing a new style of drop-clamp post clamping. Thus, the support gives you a lot of comfort and is completely in balance with the front of the bike. The bike gives you a comfortable, balanced ride, no matter how rough the surface may be
- With 20 mm of travel, the Future Shock 1.5 not only provides a smoother and more comfortable ride, but also reduces signs of fatigue and enables higher speeds over rough roads. The new Smooth boot makes the Future Shock even more aesthetic by creating a clean transition from head tube to stem
