Pure Grip Compound
PureGrip Compound emerges from activated silica compound and is a good example of how Continental continuously integrates customer feedback into research and development. This mixing technology fits in seamlessly with the revolutionary, tried and tested BlackChili Compound. The name PureGrip says it all. This mixture is characterized by extremely good grip and durability. We use PureGrip in our performance products in the racing bike and mountain bike segments.
Shield Wall System
The ShieldWall system combines the optimal combination of high puncture protection and the best smooth running with low weight. This is made possible by an additional, all-round puncture protection layer, which consists of a finely woven cross fabric. This gives the tire a high level of resistance to punctures and injuries. Despite the additional layer, the tire has very good damping properties and is extremely flexible so that it can be perfectly adapted to the ground. Another feature of the ShieldWall system of our performance products is tubeless ready suitability. The revolutionary tubeless ready foot enables easy and uncomplicated assembly of the tire. For optimal results in sealing and in use, we recommend using the new Continental RevoSealant sealant.
E-bike capable
For e-bike tires, Continental can draw on over 100 years of experience in moped and motorcycle tires. All city / trekking tires reach at least the standard up to 25 km / h. The tires marked with E50 are also approved for S-Pedelecs. With their high-quality construction, they have a high level of puncture protection, low rolling resistance and protection against premature wear due to the additional driving force.
Tubeless ready
The Tubeless Ready Technology was specially developed for the mountain bike sector. This additional, all-round puncture protection insert makes the carcass particularly resistant and insensitive to damage and the penetration of foreign bodies. For maximum effect, Continental combines ProTection with BlackChili Compound. The result: your tires are versatile, lightweight and have an attractive design. In addition, tubeless tires can also be used with this technology.
