In an evolving species, only the most coordinated change will lead to progress. What really counts is neither strength nor intelligence. What makes the difference is the ability to adapt to change.
The Filante SL inherits its shapes, lines and racing spirit from the Filante SLR, Wilier's high-end aero road bike used by professionals in the most important World Tour competitions. The advantage of the change lies in the application of fewer and simpler technical solutions. The different carbon fiber laminate used for the frame gives it a less extreme and more comfortable structure compared to the SLR version. And all this with an increase in weight of just under 150 g for the same frame size.
The new Filante SL reflects some of the features of the Wilier 0 SL, starting with the handlebars. Behind every choice that has led to the creation of this model there is no step back, but rather a desire to look forward, wise use of proprietary technologies and determination to appeal to an even wider audience.
Highlights
- World Tour aerodynamics and design: Carbon fiber is used in a frame that reflects the shape of the Filante SLR used by the professional cyclists of the Astana Qazaqstan team. What changes is the frame module, which uses different fabrics of composite material to create a new lamination. Even if the substance may change, the aerodynamic performance does not change
- Intelligent integration: no visible cables. The aluminum alloy vertical tube and aero handlebar fully preserve the flair of the Filante range. A technical choice that allows to limit the price without compromising on performance and offers the possibility to easily personalize the setup
