The new profile of the tread of this mountain bike tire is very aggressive and is characterized by deep knobs in the center and large shoulder blocks that bite into loose soil in the corners. The interlocking blocks of the rim profile with their different surfaces reinforce the tire structure, improve traction and reduce rolling resistance when plowing through fluffy forest soil, rolling over flagstones or flying over wet roots.

Specialized 's exclusive Sticky Fast T9 rubber compound increases the hillbilly's traction and allows it to find grip even in the greasy conditions. Their T9 rubber compound not only offers grip in slippery situations, but also just the right amount of cushioning for the party deep in the woods: it reduces uncontrolled jumping and skidding of the rear wheel and thus improves stability and control in challenging conditions.

GRID Gravity is a tough, two-layer construction engineered for durability and puncture protection in extreme conditions. It offers incredible strength and exceptional tire stability when pushed hard into corners and compressed on long jumps. Since the Hillbilly is 2Bliss Ready, you can ride it with or without a tube. Even in combination with sealant, easy assembly and easy inflation is guaranteed.
