Cordura

is a 100%-Nylon-thread made by DuPont. Cut Nylon fibres are yarned and woven to a new fibre. Cordura is available in several thickness grades (1000 D has double strength of 480 D) and many times more resistant to abrasion than pure Nylon. Thus, it is not only utilized for manufacturing high quality backpacks, daypacks, bike bags etc. but also for MTB-clothing. Sole disadvantage: Due to its surface structure, it is difficult to apply a coating.
