Instead of only moving back and forth, the derailleur cage describes a small arc and is thus at a constant angle to the chain. The shift transitions are made more direct and precise, and in combination with the SRAM RED crank and X-GlideR ™ chainrings, the derailleur delivers superior front-shifting performance.
