The BC 23.16 STS is the sportiest model of the TOPLINE 2016. In addition to all important bicycle, altitude and heart rate functions, it also displays the cadence. All transmitters are included. The absolute highlight is the enormous log capacity of up to 500 hours. From the stored logging data, a record can be selected via the DATA CENTER, which is used as a virtual opponent for a ghost race. Using the NFC technology, the BC 23.16 STS can communicate with the Android smartphone on which the free SIGMA LINK app was previously installed.

In this chapter, we explain the technologies that the manufacturer uses for this product.
Extensive data evaluation with all transmitters included The computer displays all important bike, altitude and heart rate functions. A height profile is created as well as a heart rate graph. Among other things, the altitude can be used to read out data on the current altitude, current gradient / gradient, total altitude and the altitude difference uphill / downhill for the current tour. In addition, the current cadence, as well as the average and max. Cadence displayed. All required transmitters are included.
Enormous log capacity The computer can store up to 99 loggings. This results in a total logging of up to 500 hours with a logging interval of 20 seconds.
50 laps The BC 23.16 STS can store up to 50 laps per tour. For the super fast operation, there is an extra Lap button. Each lap has detailed data that can be analyzed in the Lap View. You can scroll through the values of each lap or select a value and compare the laps.
Ghost Race From the stored logging data, a record can be selected via the DATA CENTER, which serves as a virtual opponent for a Ghost Race. On the display, the driver always sees the time and distance to the Ghost and who is in the lead.
NFC & SIGMA LINK The computer has a built-in NFC chip. Via NFC (Near Field Communication) the data of a tour can be read out directly on the smartphone. Also settings on the computer can be made by means of this radio transmission. To do this, the user first loads the free SIGMA LINK app onto the smartphone. Via the app you can load your training data into the SIGMA DATA CENTER or other training platforms (eg Strava, TrainingPeaks). The NFC technology is currently only available on Android smartphones. (NFC can also be disabled on the computer)
Wattage The computer calculates your current and your average wattage. Thus, you can compare your performance at any time.
Temperatuanzeige Models BC 14.16 / STS / CAD up to BC 23.16 STS have a temperature display. You will be informed at any time about the current temperature in your area.
Comparison speed While driving, there is a permanent comparison between your current and your average speed. This is represented by an arrowhead pointing up or down. When the average speed is almost reached, no indication is given.
Wheel sizes adjustable If you have two wheels in use, you can set two wheel sizes that are automatically detected (only for STS automatic). All you have to do is change the speed transmitter on the second wheel and set the correct wheel circumference for "Rad 2" on the computer.
Integrated memory chip Thanks to an integrated memory chip in the computer head, all totals and settings are permanently stored in the device. Thus, you only have to reset the clock after a battery change.
Battery warning computer / transmitter All devices as of BC 14.16 are equipped with a battery status indicator. The energy level of the battery of the computer head or STS transmitter is checked at regular intervals. If the battery is low, it will be displayed early on the display of the computer head.
Service interval Thanks to the service interval you will be reminded of the inspection of your bike after a freely selectable mileage. The service interval can only be switched on / off by the dealer or preset. The dealer can set the desired mileage using the UNIVERSAL FAST SETTING BOX. When delivered, the service interval is switched off.
Lots of display, little case The design of the TOPLINE 2016 is vertically oriented and fits perfectly with the slim design to the handlebar stem. The new form allows improved display capabilities of the functions. For example, the speed of the computer is large and permanently visible in the three-line display.
Animated menu navigation Small graphics facilitate orientation in the menu of the computer. They display training graphs in the height profile and settings menus. A scroll bar indicates where you are right now.
STS The proven and reliable SIGMA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM (STS) is the digitally coded transmission system for all transmitter data from speed transmitters, cadence transmitters and also pulse transmitters for the high-quality base units and top models. The transmitters collect their sensor data and send it as a digital data packet to the receiver integrated in the computer. In addition, the transmitter sends regularly stored test data as a data comparison. The digital coding of the SIGMA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM prevents the transmitter data from being corrupted by external interference such as current sources or other transmitters. Interference with SIGMA products, eg LED lighting, can be excluded.
New STS transmitter The STS speed and cadence transmitters can now be swiveled for even better alignment with the magnet. The battery compartment of the STS speed transmitter is located on the outside, so that the battery can be easily changed even when mounted. The included cadence beeper lets you measure both the current and average cadence.
Backlight Light on, very simple. Activate light mode and with each further key press the display is illuminated.
waterproof The computer is waterproof according to the international standard IPX 8. This means "protection against permanent submersion". The next ride in the rain so nothing is in the way.
Click Magnets The two new magnets (Normal & Power) are equipped with a click mechanism. This makes assembly even easier. Disassembly is also possible without tools.
Cadence Magnet The new cadence magnet can be attached directly to the inside of the pedal without additional aids. Since it is very thin, the risk of friction with the transmitter is avoided even at narrow distances. In order to function even with larger distances to the sensor or with non-magnetic pedal axles, two plastic clip holders for the magnet are also included.
