Safely fast: The DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut Disc Aero+ wheel
If you get a chance to do it all over again, why do it now? With the new dominance of disc brake technology and wider tubeless tires on racing bikes, the starting point for the construction of racing bikes and wheels has changed significantly. Freed from the installation restrictions of rim brakes, DT Swiss has redesigned, engineered and implemented a wheel with all its components so that it is optimized for exactly one thing -: controlled speed.
Speed creates adrenaline that we all love and strive for. It is the desired attribute that is the focus of aero road cycling. But what good is speed without controlled handling?
Control is an often underestimated quality and the prerequisite for fast road cycling. Controlled handling was already taken into account in the AERO+ concept when developing the ERC impeller. Being in control means that there is an identifiable and predictable connection between one's behavior and the consequences of that behavior.
The new ARC wheels follow the consistent further development of DT Swiss' original idea of the AERO+ concept.

The new ARC wheels are the culmination of an extensive product development process that optimizes the performance of aerodynamic wheels and makes aero, time trial and triathlon wheels even faster.
The AERO+ concept strikes the balance between the sometimes contradictory requirements for speed and handling. AERO+ is the symbiosis of air resistance, handling and efficiency.
The scientific parameters are taken into account:
Translational and rotational resistance
rolling resistance
steering torque
The goal of optimizing the above parameters results in the simply higher speed of the cyclist.
